Ok after much digging, cussing and tuning nightmares, I managed to get the part throttle driveability issues solves in my lightly-modded X1. Apparently, the vibration of the V-twim motor wreaks havoc on the delicate porcelain insulators of the O2 sensors. Bosch and Denso make two very high quality replacement pieces that are readily available. The biker who needs a replacement will get a blank stare from the guy at the parts counter at the local Pep Boys if he even mentions a Buell replacement O2 sensor. But rest easy, Buell happened to use the same O2 sensor that GM used on 90% of its vehicles from 84-96 with a one wire connector. Part numbers are: Denso 234-1001 Bosch 12014 Available in stock at nearly every parts house in America. Hope this helps. Seems the search feature on this forum is a little hard to use. Jason |

Good info! Thanks for taking the trouble to post it. Are they the cheap narrow band sensors? Or the $200+ ones like my stupid Toyota keeps eating? |

Thanks for posting this Jason. I wonder if the later bikes (XB's)use the same part for their O2 sensors. Does anyone know? For $20 I can probably afford one to find out but would rather be sure before I pull a possibly working one, it requires a bit of work to get at on the XB. |

Cool, thanks Froggy, you are the man with the answers tonight! My parts book for the 02 X1 has the old number (65970-99Y) and the XB book lists it as S0130.02A8, which I had no way of cross checking with the superseded codes. Can you tell me if 32564-99YA (tuber engine temp sensor) is cross compatible with 32564-99YB (XB engine temp sensor)? Need that part from Pep Boys or other auto parts place too since HD wants $80 for that thing now. Used to be $35. And they don't keep them in stock. |

Interesting on those O2 part numbers. I had Bosch 12014 memorized from an old xboard post so I know it fits the XB. Those engine temperature sensors are the same part. The B on the end means the part was revised and superseded the A part, if you try and order the old one, they will give you the B part. |

Awesome info on the Oxygen Sensor. Thanks. Is there is replacement piece that is readily available for the Intake Air Temperature Sensor? Part Number 62115-99Y |

I don't know if there is a local automotive store equivalent. But the stock part is pretty cheap and it's usually in stock. We don't sell many. Failures are rare. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17503.html Al |

It is just a thermocouple, after all. Unless of course, there's an amp built into the sensor housing that scales the output to the 0-5V range. |
