replacing my belt right now. i understand that the belt is going to be tight and the book even says it will be hard to get idler back on. anyone have a double secret technique for getting the belt stretched out of the way to get the pulley back on without damaging the belt? tried taking the wheel off and putting the pulley back on first, but then couldn't get the wheel back on. so now i am back to doing it how the book says, but can't seem to get it pushed up far enough to allow that idler back. |

Try having someone sit on the bike while putting the pulley on? |

well what it took was nylon straps on the belt pulled up by two guys while a third slipped the pulley on. that's tight tolerances. |
