My '99 S3T stock ECM stopped working above 1200 RPM. My header from the race kit split its welds and broke into 3 pieces. I have installed the race ECM back onto the bike and would appreciate any help in re-mapping the EEPROM with ECMSpy so it will run with the stock muffler and race air cleaner. I have the cable and ECMSpy program. Where do I have to reduce fuel flow and by how much? Anyone have a map? |

Why not look at your stock ECM mapping via ECM Spy and compare it to the race module. |

You are better off to just load the stock maps from your stock ECM onto your race unit rather than try to change the Race maps. Much easier and less error prone. |

So far, no reason to change anything. Only ran ten miles today on shake down ride, but all went real well. Muffler suffered flood damage last year; seems to have opened up back pressure nicely. |

My old ECM maps aren't stock; the maintenance team that traveled with Erik changed the map in 2001. The TPS setting for the race module hadn't changed, it's running like new since I put new gas in. Starts right up, idles, runs smooth, accelerates to red line without stumbling. Wouldn't recommend letting your bike sit in foot deep water for a week, but it seems to have done mine no damage, and rusted out whatever was causing back pressure. |
