I was considering the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's but they don't come in 170/60 ZR 17 size for the rear. I'm looking for longer tire life than the stock D205's and the D208's so I was thinking about the Dunlop Roadsmart Sport Touring tire. I want good wet weather performance (Houston, TX weather) but I don't want to sacrifice dry weather performance. My riding is not super aggressive but I want to retain the capability. Are the Roadsmarts sticky enough should I find myself in a particularly aggressive mood on a twisty path? Is there another Michelin tire I should consider that meets my long tire life, good wet weather, and still nice and sticky specs I'm asking for? |

I have them on my XT and luv 'em. I toasted the orig. Strada rear to the cords in 4200 miles. 3k so far on the rear Roadsmart and just starting to flatten in the center. As far as stick goes I've touched down peg feelers 2up with no issues, they seem to come up to temp in about 5 miles and seem ok in what wet I've had them in. Hope this helps but as with any tire YMMV. |

I just replaced my tires on my '01 S3T with the Dunlop Roadsmarts. I have only ridden a few miles to break them in so I can't say much yet. Hopefully I'll be back reporting long-life and mileage..... |
