Author Message   Jaxxonline Posted on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 03:22 pm:        i located an oil drain plug on the swingarm but i drained another plug 1st that is on the crankcase just in front of the back one, not on swingarm. is this the same oil area? or do i need to add oil back to crankcase somehow? and where is the oil filter? thank so so much. i really appreciate!!   Froggy Posted on Saturday, January 30, 2010 - 03:33 pm:        The plug on the engine is for the transmission and primary chain. The one on the swingarm is the engine oil. You will need to refill the transmision/primary fluid (Use Formula+) or will damage it. All the info on changing the fluids is listed in both the service manual and the owners manual. I loosened the bolt on the left side with the big nut on it. i was told it is the chain tightner. i cannot get it to tighten now. any idea? thank you
