Cracked from the bolts which secure the front screen to my bike have appeared. One is very big. As soon as I saw it I took my bike back to HD as my bike is only 8 months old. Long story short - still waiting for HD to sort it out. They keep telling my claim paper work has been submitted for warranty approval but it's been almost month and a half since reporting it. It has been suggested that this has occurred through me over tightening the bolts that hold the screen by HD dealer and Buell rep but I have not put a tool to them! The only people that have are the HD dealer cause they fitted my alarm a few months ago. Anyone else had cracks in their screens? How long should I wait before I take action cause the HD dealer won't commit to how long this will take? It's basically open ended! |

I have never had a flyscreen crack, and I even rear-ended a car without even scuffing it (destroyed the rest of the brackets). Personally I would just get a new one rather than fighting the dealer, it is part number M1600.4ANMBX and costs only $71 in the states, not sure how much it is for you. |

Well the dealer already promised a new airbox cover when mine badly scratched upon first wash but due to staff changes they quickly reverted to sorry sir we don't know what was agreed between you and xxx". So they copt out of that one. They know jack about buells, very poor customer care from day one, and this screen is for me the last resort. That's why we buy new bikes with warranties, in part at least. I've done nothing wrong, I've looked after my bike so I want it sorted. Anyways I think the screens over here are about £150? |
