Author Message   Badgerbomber Posted on Saturday, November 07, 2009 - 09:10 pm:        Has anyone removed and reinstalled their rear tire on an 1125r? I wore my tires out in a week and a half, so now I need to replace tires ASAP, and am trying to figure out to remove the rear tire (I should have bought a service manual when I bought the bike 2 weeks ago). I just read through the manuals that I finally bought, and as I suspected, the factory jacking point is on the muffler (which doesn't work for me since I have an FMF pipe). My plan from here on out is to either remover the tail plastic and lift using the subframe or get a rear stand! Maybe keep for your personal info but below is a link with a great post by our friend Doerman which I just used to do my worn out rear tire. I went with a Diablo Rosso, again with his recommendation after he used one very successfully. Very much like Corsa III's but more wear. My front was fine yet. I also used jack stands under the passenger pegs as my rear stand is a through the axle only. Chock the front wheel with something. Wheel was about 2" above the floor and came right off doing just what is stated. The manual is much more complicated. Remember the axle nut is LEFT hand thread! Torque all fastners when reinstalling to be safe. Take your time and be accurate.
