Im looking into having my stock OEM header pipe on my M2 Cyclone Electropolished, Without the dimensions of the pipe Ive havent been able to get an exact quote. Can anyone help on that? Ive been quoted $10 per square ft. Is that good? Thanks, Eric |

Eric, The head pipe diamerter is 1.5" Figure a stock header pipe is about 24" give or take. The collector is 2.5" and say 12" for fudge factor. The head pipes are about 113" sq" each so for bo of the header pipes you have 223 sq" The collector is using the above fudged numbers is about 131 sq" Total is about 354 sq" That's less than 3 sq ft. For $30 it's not worth the gas to go buy polishing coumpound! Those numbers sound REAL low. I was quoted $110 for the race header on my S2, I thought that was a pretty good price. They are probably not adding in surface prep. They need to dip the header to remove the carbon from the inside before they can electro polish. At least that's what I was told. If you can have it done for $30, please let me know where, I have 3 of them I want done... Brad |

Wow, yuse smart . Math was never my strong suite. Really, thanks for that info Brad. Ive messaged a few people on here about electropolishing and $110 seems to be the average price. $30 doesnt sound right eh? I bet they arnt including all the prep work. That was never mensioned in the email. Anyone know any good companies that do this resonably? I might just polish it myself. I got that info on another thred. Thanks, Eric Once again thanks, Eric |
