With ignition off, key out, heated grip switch on, the grips still heat up and drains battery. Shouldn't the grips turn off with the ignition? This is on a 09 uly |

Absolutely. The ECM controls the relay that powers the aux power sockets, and the heated grips are on the aux power socket circuit. The ECM is supposed to turn on that relay ONLY when the engine is actually running. It normally does not come on when the key is turned on, the engine has to be started first. The front cigarette lighter is the easiest place to connect the voltmeter to while debugging. Probably a bad relay thats stuck on. That's easy to debug, since they're all the same. Swap one of the other ones into it's place, see if it fixes the problem. |
