Hi. New owner of a 05 CityX w/ 13k miles which I got for a steal. 3rd bike, 1st Buell. I couldn't be happier with this bike, cause it has the best growl from the D&D slip-on and I don't see any other Buells anywhere I go (I mainly stick to the NE Ohio area). It also pushes like a kick in the pants when I ask it to, so I don't know if this is a concern or not. When I first got the bike earlier this month it went about 100 miles before the reserve tank kicked in. I didn't think to reset the trip meter before I drove about 15-30 miles, so I think I probably got about 130 miles on that tank. Now I find it gets herky-jerky consistently about 75 miles after a fill-up (I'm still a little nervous to let it get to the reserve tank, because the last time I did it started to act as if it would stall right away). Should I consider some fuel injector cleaner or could there be something more serious? Also, unrelated topic: Why do some wrap their headers w/ tape? Does it improve performance? Thanks. Also, props to Teach and the folks at Western Reserve H-D for putting on a great event to kick off the season! |
