Bike is a 96 S2T with a stock CV40 carb. When I turn the gas on it flows straight out the vent tube (on the lower part of the carb). I did not see anything out of the ordinary when I had it apart. Could the acc pump be getting stuck? Could it be the float bowl? it seemed to be with spec as well. Frank |

Found the problem, it was the bowl drain screw not seated all the way. When I tried it while the carb was on the bike I could not turn it. When I took the carb off again I was able to seat it better. Frank |

Wow, I got the same problem, but didn't think to check that one. |

If it's not the bowl drain screw, then proper float level is the next thing to check followed by checking the condition of the float shutoff valve & seat. |
