I'd like to upgrade my suspension. AK-20 cartridges and a Penske. How do you guys who have that set up like it? |

Hi Marty, I put a Penske 8987 shock on the rear and revalved/resprung the front. I'm riding an '08 uly and I set suspension travel to 6" on both ends. Strait rate springs front and rear. I think it's a 450lbs on the Penske, (I'll double check my set up sheets) and a .97 kg in the front. The rear is brilliant, the front is much, much better, but I'm still tuning on it up front. Oil level, sag, etc, and the rebound may be a little light so far. But I'm sure the front will sort out promptly and it will have saved me 1/2 the cost of the AK-20 cartridge. And (I'm sure you know) an Ohlins cartridge set is $1500. So far it's well worth my investment. ride safe mike |

Mike, Thanks for the info! Sounds like you're getting it all dialed in. It IS a good chunk of $, so I was hoping to get some other members' thoughts before pulling the trigger. Sounds like a worthwhile improvement. Marty |
