I was hoping there was an old posting here or has someone come up with an x-ref number for the o-rings that are used for the oil and primary drain plugs. (2006 XB12X) I've re-used them before and plan too again, but one day they will need replacing. It is a hassle to go to HD/Buell, it's a long distance drive and most likely the o-ring will cost more. If I could go five minutes to the local Napa then I'm for it. |

Did you ever get a response to this? I'd love to run over to the local Hardware store and buy them there if you have the size available. |

I just go to my local Ace Hardware and find something that fits. Not just the Buell but quite a few other toys I have or had. They also have a wide variety of flat washers also. I actually have bought a set of O-rings just to save the time of running all the way into town. Just my 2 pennies worth. |

I just get mine from Al.(american Sport Bike) a sponsor on this board. Cheap and I get maybe 5 or 6 at a time. I remember w/my goldwing the o rings on the anti-dive unit were so chemical sensative. Some for fork oil others for break fluid that the anti-dive would seize up. As a result I just put those worries to bed and get the stock ones and replace everytime I open anything with an o ring. Whne I travel up to two weeks on the road at a time I just wnat the security. Paliatives for my Anxiety Disorder. |

So, did anyone ever come up with a part no. or even a size (dia./thickness) for the o-ring? Picked one (last oil change) that looked good at the hardware store, but it deteriorated and started weeping. Don't think the plumbing o-rings are chemically/heat resistant enough. Would like to get a REAL engine o-ring somewhere, so I'd like to be able to tell them what I need. Anyone? |

If you place an order for anything, just tack a couple of these onto the order and have 'em around for the next oil change. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/17195.html |
