So I finally broke a latch on my HB luggage. I was warned about this and have always been pretty careful about how I pack my bags but it happened. Does anybody have the part numbers for these? The bags seem really good for the most part but the latches are pretty mickey mouse. |

I'm in the same boat. Dealer says latch is not serviceable and wants to sell me a new side case. I have removed the latch assembly and suspect it can be replaced, if not serviced. Any help would be appreciated. |

The LATCH can be replaced easily. Send me:

- Full contact info
- VIN
- Dealer name and contact info
- Short description (i.e. which latch)

The Harley Davidson part number for mine was 90114-06Y. Description: KIT SERVICE, SIDECASE LATCH MEC. This fits the luggage on my 07 Uly and was very easy to replace. I carry a spare around with me now. I think I paid around $30CDN a piece for them. |

Thanks for the help. That part number worked. Should have it in a week or so. |

I'll try an old thread before starting a new one. Can I get the latch for the bag to the frame brackets from buell? My lock is jammed the key will not go in anymore. The MoCo parts man says I'll have to buy a new sidecase to replace. |

Try Al at American Sportbike first. I don't think he has the locks, but has the latches. He has helped support Buell riders and this board for a long time, so buy from him if you can. If Al doesn't have them, you can get parts for the bags from: http://capitalcycle.com/ Lousy turnaround (I waited months for a cover) and not so hot communication (I asked them twice why my Hepco sticker was upside down and they keep going silent), but they can get the parts. I have a PDF of the journey bag part numbers, I'll try and dig it up and post it in the knowledge vault. |

Reepicheep, thanks for the reply. I took your recommended steps last week, called Al first and he doesn't have the part. Capitalcycle does not the correct key # right now; said to call back the first week of October. A part number would be great. I have the parts book but the part is not shown. Thanks again. |
