Mine was melted beyond repair i found out. i wanted to know if there was an upgraded part number or substitute connector to use in place of this piece? it would be a pain to keep replacing this part. melted (Message edited by sneth on March 06, 2009) |

The quick way would be to solder quick connects and use heat shrink and electrical tape. And of course just good quality quick connects would get ya home. |

I just bought a voltage regulator because mine had gone bad and the new part number is actually a kit that includes new non-Packard style connectors that you're supposed to replace the old 77 with. So I guess there's been enough issues with these on 2003 XB9s that Buell has actually made the old style obsolete. The kit is also now a different part number replacing the Y03 with Y1302.02A8. So yes, you can probably ask HD or find these 2-pin connectors.
