Hi, I'm pretty sure I need to replace the rocker box gasket but I'm a little confused on which one I should use. I've read the forums and people are saying to use a sportster gasket and others are saying to use the new blast gasket (metal/rubber).....so, when I go to my local Buell dealer here in Houston, what should I ask them for? Thanks! |

I would use the metal gasket and just make sure you do a good job cleaning everything. Good luck. |

Rockman, the sportster and Blast gaskets are probably the same thing, if it eases your confusion any. The Blast rocker box gasket has been upgraded 3 times over the life of the bike. The first was paper, the next metal, and the current is rubber/metal. If you tell your dealer you want a "Blast Rocker Box Gasket" they should give you the latest one. Alternatively, several dealers are sponsors of this board, and will happily sell & mail you a gasket if you post in their threads. I'm partial to my dealer but any of them would be glad to help you. |
