Does anyone make after market cranks for the xb12? If not would the 08 crank fit in an 05 case? Also I remember seeing someone on the forum that was good and doing work to the cranks, balancing, welding, etc. but I can't seem to find the link. I know that someone that was building a xb9 track bike used him.

08 cranks will work in an 05, you just have to swap out the engine sprocket and bolt as they are different. You will also have to make a timing mark for your cam sensor on the flywheel because 08's use a crank trigger. it's not that big of a deal and the added benefit is the 08 crank is stronger. as far as services go check out www.johnsonenginetechnology.com

You might be looking for Darkhorse Cranks which is part of Hoban Brothers. I have one of their lightened cranks in my xb9. Hoban Bros. does good work.

Their website doesn't have much to offer, call John Dahmer at 920-726-4990.
