Does anyone have any D.I.Y. pics of a head polishing job for an XB, or suggestions about where and how much of the ports to polish? |

polishing is really a thing of the past. you can if you want ,but do not polish the intake ports because it may cause fuel to puddle. some people have been known to polish the combustion chambers to help carbon not build up. i wouldn't waste my time. .02 |

you can polish the intake ports to a smooth finish(buel cast them on the rough side)but do not polish to a mirror finish |

Satin finish intake ports, mirror exhaust ports. To really see a difference you need to clean up the cast blob around the seats... |

"...clean up the cast blob ..." and reshape the blob around the valve guide and the guide part inside the port , blade-like. depending on the engine mods you have you can think about working on the throttle body also . this work makes no-sense if you don't upgrade the ecm fuel delivery. Alessio |
