Recently, I picked up a Hepco Becker topcase. I ordered replacement lock cylinders (Buell part number: M2501.1AV), so the case would be keyed the same as the side bags. They come with no instructions, so I thought I would write something up to explain how you have to change these out. There is a catch on each cylinder that you have to press in in order to pull out the cylinder. To remove the cylinder, insert the key into the lock, press the catch in with a small screwdriver, and push the cylinder through the plastic. To put the replacement cylinder in, it's pretty much the opposite task. You have to press in the catch, insert it into the plastic and turn it until the lock snaps in place. That's pretty much it. The Buell part comes with both a key and cylinder, so you'll have plenty of keys available. Wayne |

Your dealer is incorrect. Go in with your key, there is a key code on it 95x, use the M2501.1AV part number, tell them to make sure they enter the key code you have and new cylinders with keys will arrive. Wayne |
