I had to pull the head to take care of a pushrod tube leak on my xb-9 that is built with millenium 1020cc clyinders. These gaskets have 3 metal layers riveted together in two spots.
I didn't build the motor, but I'm guessing these were used to set the head height so I want to make sure I rebuild with the same. Thx. Kurt |

.030 Cometic MLS gaskets. Youīll probably have to call Millenium as these have a special bore diameter (I donīt think You can get them directly from Cometic). Regards Alex M-TeK Engineering |

Thanks Alex. Now that you mention it it looks like these gaskets were set up for the stock 3.5" bore. There is about 1/32" of the id that is quite built up with carbon that makes it look like these were projecting into the combustion chamber. Is this standard practice? Seems that 3-9/16" is a pretty common bore size for all the 1250 kits out there but it doesn't look like they make a part for that size. The NRHS website shows a single part number to cover 3.497-3.563 bores (88-C9688) and another for 3.813 bores (88-C9692). It can't be good for performance to have a protruding gasket - would it be viable to use the 3.813 gasket instead? BTW any idea how to get in touch with Millennium? I can't find a web site... |

You should be able to call Cometic directly and get those gaskets. It may be quicker, however, to get them from Revolution/Millenium 920-893-5595 |

Talk to Jason at Cometic and ask him to get you the proper gaskets. You don't want them to hang out into the bore. Cometic is 440-354-0777 |

Thanks Pammy. I didn't realize Revolution & Millenium were in cahoots. I'll give them a call. |

Cometic is a top notch company. Real human beings that seem to care if they screwed something up, and want to make it right. |

Knickers, You may want to ask them for part number C9791 or 160-050. Reepicheep, unfortunately I canīt share Your sight any longer. They do make real good gaskets but almost always there is something missing or You will find wrong parts (like Twin Cam Rocker Cover Gaskets in an XB kit)in their kits. Recently their XB engine gasket kits were drastically changed: no more valve stem seals, no more rocker cover fiber washers and some more things. This is especially annoying for us here in Europe who canīt just send it back when we order one or two kits from our distributors. Nevertheless Iīm still using their gaskets for quality reasons. |

New Gaskets are on their way from Revolution. They had the right parts for the 3-9/16" bore. By the way, turns out the ones I pulled out were not undersized, just a lot of carbon built up on the head side. The combustion chamber must overlap the bore just a tad. Kurt |
