so some idiot backed into my 05 firebolt in a parking lot, knocking it over on the right side. Luckly the only damage was the right turn signal was broken out and a scratch on the plastic. When I got home I noticed that after twisting the throttle it wasn't returning back to its normal position, i.e. the cables need adjusting or something. Does anyone know if this could have been caused by knocking the bike over or did I just notice it because I was looking the whole biker over after the fall. Anyway, how can I find how to adjust or tighten the cables to make the throttle return? I tried twisting the knobs on the handle bar but it didn't really help much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks from a new buell owner. |

The only way I know is to twist the knobs. I'll look in my service manual tonight. |

The right handlebar sounds like it is bent and fouling the inside of the throttle tube. Time for a new one I think. A cheap way to have a cruise control but not the safest. |

I had a similar thing happen to me. The return throttle cable got pinched between the left fork and the frame. The only thing you can do, is replace it. |
