Dealer #1 (where I bought the bike): Sales=variable (they cut me a good deal), Parts=unsatisfied (never had even simple parts in stock...pegs, shift lever, TIRES); Service=unsatisfied (they rather put chrome on a bagger than service a Buell) Dealer #2 (current servicing dealer): Sales=satisfied; Parts=Very satisfied; Service=satisfied Dealer #3 (not a current Buell selling Harley Dealer): Sales=no comment because they don't sell Buells; Parts=willing to get the parts I need from a Buell dealer; Service=they've taken the time to work on my bike when I've been in a bind |

Dealer 1 South Denver Sales-satisfied Parts-unsatisfied Service-Highly unsatisfied overall VERY UNSATISFIED Dealer 2 MidTown Denver Sales-N/A Parts-unsatisfied Service-Highly unsatisfied overall VERY UNSATISFIED These two dealers and their lack of any reasonable support are and will be my primary reasons for selling the bike, and purchasing other brands. Until I see a marked upswing in dealer support and RESPECT for the Buell marquee, in spite of my desire for a '03 Lightning, it aint going to happen. |

Dealer #1: sales = satisfied, parts = satisfied, service = satisfied Dealer #2: sales = unsatisfied, parts = satisfied, service = unsatisfied Dealer #3: sales = satisfied, parts = satisfied, service = satisfied You really have to shop around for a good Dealer. Some are horrible, I found 2 out of 6 within 200 miles I feel comfortable with. The rest were a fricking joke. Sad...... |

i've had up-close and personal experience with dozens of Buell dealers, and the vast majority of my experiences have been positive (some unbelievably so). in fairness, however, i don't think i can be considered an average, "representative" Buell owner due to my association with PACBOG and Sportbike USA, and being a semi-regular contributor to Battle 2Win and Thunder Press -- often it's easier to get your way when you have a "name". for the record, consider me a big fan of Erik's, and all he represents. Dealer #1 - Sold me the '99 S3, very good salesman, got a $2,000 discount. Service - not good, I had to tell them about the flash upgrade for the ECM. Parts - good, got a 20% discount for a year. No longer selling Buell Dealer #2 - Service - guick in & out (important for me) told me that I didn't need to zero my Race ECM (not good) also said that I shouldn't read the web. Dealer #3 - Fantastic salesman, parts is real good, service needs help. I brought the bike in for a 15min. shock change. Five days later I had to call about when I was getting my bike back. Found out it had been done for three days and they never bothered to call me. As a daily commuter that sucks. If a car dealership ever did that to me I'd never go back. |

Motown Harley Davidson/Buell - Taylor, MI; Extremely dissatisfied. No one there has any idea when it comes to Buells, and their service just sucks. Motor City Harley Davidson/Buell - Garden City, MI; Satisfied. Biggest BRAG group in Michigan, and their Director apparently forces them to play nice with us Beullers. Oconomowoc Harley Davidson/Buell - Oconomowoc, WI; Very satisfied. These guys were just the shit at Homecoming last year. I still have the little dealer sticker from them on my Blast's rear brake reservoir (I somehow managed to lose the cap on the way to East Troy). They rejetted my carb, fixed my timing, and let me watch and chat while they did it - then only charged me for a needle and a half hour's labor (he was working on the bike for a few hours). Bryan |

Modesto Buell. Super-dee-duper satisfied. Danny is the man. He'll have your parts UPS'd to you in a few days, with no hassle. When looking for Buell parts, try them first, you won't be disappointed. (209)578-1330 (Shameless plug,i know, but they ROOOOCK!) |

dealer 1 excellent, service exceptional. very satisfied distributor 1, barely satisfied. harley/buell distributor in western canada sux, seems that any "useful" part has a premium added @ the border. it kinda sux when you can import components directly cheaper than you can get them from the distributor in your own country as for the bikes: s1 #1 28000 kms before untimely death (my fault), standard issues were the leaky shock and rear rockerbox. satisfied s1 #2 16000 kms and counting. No MAJOR or minor problems so far, also satisfied. S1's Rule |

I'm satisfied with the dealership where I bought my M2, but then I have a pretty low expectaion level when it comes to dealerships. I have never dealt with one that mad me say WOW. Most of them go about their business in a ho-hum fashion. One or two really good staff members in a dealership can make all the differance. |

Dealer#1: sales = unsatisfied, parts = unsatisfied, service = unsatisfied. Dealer#2: sales = NA, parts = satisfied, service = satisfied. Dealer#3: sales = NA, parts = satisfied, service = unsatisfied. Oooooo, don't get me started. If it makes any difference, the only dealer I was totally satisfied with is the headquarters for the local BRAG. |
