I had some backfiring before the drummer and now its 100% of the time when decelerating. Very annoying. Can someone tell me how to find the idle screw??? maybe it will help?

I doubt if it's your idle. Your bike should idle between 1050 and 1150 ( at least for an 06 ). Idle adjustment cable terminates in a 3/16" Allen located at the front left of bike between front cylinder and air scoop.

Bikes should be able to learn a Drummer without making any other changes, that's my understanding. A lot of people used to fit a "Race ECM" to help fueling with minor bolt on mods but most people use ECMspy now to adjust their own ECM's. The bad news is, I don't think either one is an option yet for '08+ could be wrong.

I'd say make sure you don't have any leaks at the inlet where the header joins the muffler. This WILL cause excessive popping on decel. It's not a bad idea to use a high temp sealant at that joint. If you have a leak there you'll see black streaks probably at the slots.

Previous year bikes were run at 3500 rpm for 10 minutes or so to allow them to learn minor mods.

I have a Drummer with a race ECM and a K&N on a '06 City and it runs great. I had a Jardine with the same setup and it ran horrible. Do a search, it's worth getting that Drummer to work for you. See what other '08 owners are doing. Good luck with it!

a 2008 buell has a self regulating idle.

there's no idle screw any more..
you could try tho calibrate it.
ing. on. full trottle 1 sec. full back off the trottle 1 sec. do this 3 times..
the ecm will self calibrate.

i dought iff that's the problem..
did you drive with it, so that the ecm can learn ( +/- 3000 rpm steady throttle for a few miles )
perhaps this will let the bike run a little better..

but i think you need some dyno time and a fuel mapping

With any open high flow exhaust you will get decel popping. It's all good.
