A mate bought a Japanese import 2007 XB12Ss and has discovered this silver thing in his airbox. Any ideas what this is? (I ain't got one on my New Zealand-new 06 XB12R) The cable seems to be mechanically attached to the throttle body and moves in and out when the throttle grip is twisted. We have those on the 1125Rs to physically close the throttle at a certain RPM range to meet EPA noise requirements. However, I am not up-to-speed on XBs. |

It must be a type of dashpot, a device similar to a shock absorber that slowly closes the throttle when the throttle grip is closed suddenly. |
