Any Buell solutions out there for a melted right thigh? I ride with flannel-lined jeans in the winter, and that solves the problem, but I live in Southern California and that's too hot for summer ... |

A right side air scoop did wonders for me. But now my feet get hot on real hot days b/c it forces more air over the engine and it comes out down by my feet. Overall, its better than a hot right leg and the fan ain't runnin' hot air up under my butt as much either... Robtk! a.k.a. "Special K" |

Insulate your legs by wearing a proper riding suit. Having one more layer of clothing over jeans or even shorts in the summer has always worked for me. Think Aerostich Darien or any of the other similar one-layer riding suits. This last weekend I had a chance to demo ride all the new Buells and thought I'd try something different and just wear jeans and jacket. Then I found out just how hot my right leg gets on the 1125R and Ulysses. I wouldn't have noticed the heat from those bikes or my 9R if I were in my Darien or Roadcrafter. |

Chas...I have an 07 XB9SX and if you wrap the headers it helps out tremendously. Go to Auto Zone and buy the 50ft roll of 1" wide exhaust wrap (graphite/white color available) $39. I got the graphite color and installed it in 30 minutes. I dont recommend the 2" because it will look ugly when you wrap it. It doesn't fit to well. You can do this easily and dont have to remove the exhaust to do it. Goody |

I wrapped my headers with that stuff...made absolutely no difference with the heat !!! Still scorching hot on r/h side...Changing to the Select seat did the trick, though !!! |
