Hey everyone, ok well here it is. I have a 95 S2. I had been noticing recently some popping in the exhaust when I down shift and decelerate. The bike is near 30k so I decided it was time to replace the intake and exhaust gaskets. I was hoping this would take care of things. But guess what...It hasnt...So does anyone have any ideas of what this might be?

heck for header leaks. If none are found, then check/tighten/replace the exhaust port to header-pipe gaskets, again if necessary.

I would check for cracks in the pipes too. I have a nice size crack that I am getting ready to fix.

ok you are not going believe this. But I just did a quick carb rebuild with a new accelerator pump etc. as well as new jets 45/190 vs the 48/185 and the popping has disappeared....go figure cause I never thought it would have been caused by the carb. Thanks for the input guys,.
