Alright this is what i plan on doing over the winter: XB9 pistons in my 12 to raise compression I would like to do a little headwork but who knows if that will happen ($$$$$$) XB9 exhaust ceramic coated and wrapped (the inlets and outlets are the same diameter the twelve increases diameter slightly after the port and then bottlenecks back down, and im no professor of fluid dynamics, but i would think that exhaust gas velocity would be accelerated in the constant diameter pipe rather than the changing diameter) i will be installing the F.A.S.T kit I have an ECMSpy cable on the way from American Sport Bike I just want opinions on what you think i can make with that, im thinking right around 105-110 is do-able if i can get my hands on a cost effective set of cams. i would like to be in the 115-120 range but im a realist not a magician |

I'd be interested in hearing your gains on the motor. I thought about doing this for awhile before doing a big bore kit, but what are you going to be running for fuel? I believe the stock compression ratio is 10:1 and with the 9 pistons your going to be getting 12:1. How do you plan to control the detonation and added heat? |
