I have an 07 XB12STT and my brake light does no work when I pull the front brake lever. It works with the rear brake though.. I checked the fuse panel under the passenger seat and everything looks good. All wires appear to terminate correctly at both the front and back of bike. Anybody have any ideas what I should check next?

I would look at the front brake lever switch and connection first. Use a VOM and check that the switch opens and closes.

Mine is doing much the same thing, rear brake lights work ,tail lamp and front brake don't come on. Both filaments light with the rear, wait a minute... Is that right? I have to look at the manual. I didn't notice any wires bared in looking so far or loose connections.

The part that REALLY sucks is I finally meet this super hot woman who wants to go for a ride and my bike throws a little hissy fit. I think it's jealous.

Any advice would be most welcome!

I ended up taking it up to Gainesville Harley and before I finished describing my problem Paul had a new switch on the brake lever and the light working again. They replaced the bad switch under warranty, thanks Paul! Mine wasn't the first he had dealt with and doesn't sound like the last...

It doesn't seem both filaments should light up when I touch the rear brake pedal should they? Is one for the tail light and one filament for the brake?
