07 XB12X - Using ECMSpy to set the TPS. Followed the instructions. Now the bike won't idle. This is what I did! Wound the idle adjust screw till I got 0% and turned it a bit further with the throttle grip twisted closed. Wound the idle screw ti @ 4.6 degrees & 5.1% Then selected "TPS Reset". Can't get the bike to idle. Once started it only runs if the throttle is held. Can anybody tell me what I did wrong? Was I to select "TPS Reset" before adjusting the idle screw to those percents? |

You need to hit "TPS Reset" when the idle's screwed out past 0% and you've made sure the throttle is closed. (Message edited by Sped214 on July 29, 2008) |

Joe: I had the same problem on my '07. After two attempts, I found that the throttle and idle cable lock nuts were loose and I wasn't really getting the 0%. Make sure cables are adjusted properly and try again. Mark |

Hey Mark & Sped214, Yes, the cable lock nuts were loose. Wasn't following the instructions to a "t". Runs like new now, thanks guys for the help. Joe |
