Ok you all are probably tired of hearing the same questions, but searching through the posts all I came up with was posts for XB's and such. I have a 98 Tuber Cyclone. The typical hop-ups, carb, heads, exhaust the usual. and I seem to have an apatite for belts, two at 30,000, the first at25 broke this current one ate the teeth off of the belt, like 10 then nothing then 3 then nothin then 6 then.....you get the point. A conversion is what I want to do, and the conversion I read in the forum the most was a XB and another fella replyed that another guys conversion, here on the forum was the real then, an argument ensued, at any rate I want to know if any of you have got the stuff needed from Harley, ie front sprocket, spacer, nut and whatever else? Help me out if you can, yea i'm going to try to find it cheaper than a kit, but I think the stuff is out there if you know the #'s rear sprocket and chain are a breeze, provided there's not a spacer needed there to? So, I'm on a low income for the rest of this year and need to try some economy. Thanks Richard}}}

I needed a 520 chain conversion for my bike. I got it from Baker Drivetrains. I would recommend going with a 530 kit for street. You will not find Harley rear sprockets due to the inner diameter being smaller for sportster sprockets. The bolt pattern is the same though, you could enlarge the center if you have machine access. Front sprocket are available. Use of a rear spacer will be dependant on the offset of the front sprocket. Sorry, I can't help more.

PBI makes sprockets for Buells. Watch out if ordered from Drag Specialities, the ones that they list for Buell is the Sportster rear sprocket and would need to be machined as described above. You could try to order direct or go through Baker Drive.

in your case the adjustable rear axle make your conversion and the possibility of change ratio( street , track days or sport riding) very easy....on xbs with stock axle is a real drama.

What do I need to do for a chain conversion on my 06 xb12r. The rear sprocket isn't an issue those have turned out to be easy to find, but I can't find a front sprocket, can I just use a sportster one? Also, I have read that I would need a spacer or something for the front sprocket. I know there are some chain conversion kits out there but they are all a little to expensive, I guess if that is the only option I will stay with the belt. Thanks for any help guys, I appreciate it.

The swingarm is the big ticket item. Chains wear and require rear axle adjustment.

I just made a double chain roller setup for my chain drive on my M2. It was needed to take up the additional chain slack caused by adding 1 inch of ride height. I will try to post details on this.
