I have searched the archives and can't find a definitive answer. Does a Forcewinder breather offer any performance gains on an X1 or do people do it strictly for looks? I don't want to lose any low to mid-range torque. Does anyone have proof other than the "denim dyno"? |

Not an X1 that was dyno tested, but I doubt there would be much harm to one in a near stock application. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/11192.html?1113852451 Your X1 being injected, you won't have to worry about the carb vent issue. I use a Forcewinder strictly for knee clearance over the breadbox and race kit filter on my M2... not looks. |

I use a forcewinder only because the helmholtz box was hideous.. but according to my butt dyno the forcewinder comes with a small loss in power. |
