ive got a 97 buell M2, the seal on the front head is going fast and the rear is catching up fast.
would i need to drop the engine to do this? or could i do it myself?
also is there an aftermarket upgrade that would last longer and give me better compression?
thanks for your help

No you don't need to drop the motor to replace the upper gaskets. But if you take the head off I recommend that you replace the base gasket.

Ummm ... "drop the engine"?

Obviously, if you remove the front head you are going to have to support the engine. But, no, it doesn't have to come out.

No need to drop engine to replace rockerbox gaskets. You will need a shortened (cut off or ground down) Allen wrench in order to access one rockerbox screw that is located directly underneath a frame member.
