How many teeth on the Transmission pulley on the 12`s anyone know? also wonder if one of these suckers wd. work and still maintain the stock 12 belts?? http://www.beltdrives.com/tp.htm |

I believe the stock 12 uses a 27 tooth. I'm interested in those lightweight pulleys too. Maybe a 29 tooth would increase highway mileage somewhat without throwing the speedometer off too much? As far as keeping the stock belt goes... I wish I knew. |

All XB's except the 03 XB9 use the 27 tooth 14mm tooth pitch pulley. You can not change the pulleys, or at least not without a custom belt. The belt path length is fixed, and the idler holds constant tension. Change any pulleys and the geometry is wrong. The stock belt then doesn't work, and the constant tension goes out the window. It's easier to change the gearing on the primary side. But silent chain sprocket and chain choices aren't plentiful. Al |
