I'm looking to use my XB as a commuter pretty heavily this year, so I need some storage space. I've been using a backpack, but I'd prefer to free up my range of motion and put the stuff in some luggage on the bike. I'd also use this stuff for a long weekend here and there... I've been giving some thought to the Buell saddle bags and tail bag (the little one and the one made to work with their saddle bags). Who has them and how do you like them? How big are they really? How exactly do they mount? I eliminated my cheesegrater and passenger pegs if that matters. Are there any good saddle bags that can be detached easily to slug over my shoulder? That would be great for work... I've also been giving some thought to a Givi top case, but I'm not sure if I'd like the bracketry always on the bike. Thoughts? | ||

I don't have any pics right now but did find one using the search. It mounts using two bungee straps on the passenger section of the seat. The tailbag hold a good amount. I have used it along with my Buell tank bag for weekend trips. Here is a picture of a set of Cortech Sport bags mounted on my Guzzi. They are very nice and are available is several colors (red, black or blue) w/ a matching tailbag.
