This may be a stupid question but I changed the trans fluid today and I put 1 qt in and it didn't fill it up to where I think the diagram shows. Should I add more, the fluid was pretty cold when I but it in. Or does it just take a little more then a qt? |

I have just been asking myself the same question as I changed the trans fluid today. I bought my 03 xb9s used and did not get an owner's manual but did get a service manual. The pic in the service manual is somewhat confusing when you read the description. However I finally signed up on Buell.com and looked at an 05 owners manual which has a diagram of the appropriate level. When you have the round trans cover off, shine some light in and downward so you see the bottom of a disk with teeth. The fluid should just cover the teeth. Remember, the back tire should be lifted when doing this. |
