So my 03 XB9R just started doing something different. I use it everyday for school and work cause i dont own a car so when i am at a stop light i shift into neutral and the rpms seem to not drop under 2000. which is really strange. I have the idle set at 1100 and not sure y it doesnt move to that at idle...Help |

I had a similar problem w/ my 06 Uly. Had the 10K service done and told the dealer, and it has worked correctly ever since. Would rise on it's own to @ 2k, especially when it got hot. They never said what it could have been. I believe that the TPS changed itself. The idle was/is still set at @1050. It could be you might need a TPS upgrade. Link here somewhere, I believe under Manuals, Alerts, Tech Bulletins, Upgrades & Recalls.... (Message edited by jflaig on February 26, 2008) |

Very common. Lower the idle. If the idle is set when the engine isn't REALLY up to optemp it'll hang about 2K and then slowly com down. |
