I am going to upgrade the plugs in my 2007 XB9R. I have the K&N open airbox, a Jardine exhaust and will be adding the Remus Powerizer. Does anyone know if one plug would be better than an other to optimize the motors output?

A spark plug is but one component in the ignition system. It won't do any good to use a spark plug capable of maintaining spark in, let's say, a Bonneville streamliner if one is using a standard ignition system. So, within the limitations of the stock ignition, conventional spark plugs will pretty much provide the same performance.

Some plugs can compensate for these limitations by making it easier to initiate a spark. Look for plugs with a thin center electrode of exotic materials, usually platinum, so it won't melt. The thin cross-section makes a sharp point for the high voltage to jump from.

Shop for spark plug cables with lower resistance than stock, say around 1000 ohms. With lower resistance, the coil can generally provide more spark current for a hotter spark.

Thanks Sparky, sounds like you live up to your screen name. What steps, if any would you suggest for boosting the juice going to the plugs? Or is that just not necessary for my current mods?

For a stock compression engine, the XB ignition is fairly robust, so I'd stick with that. If you up the compression or raise the rpm's, then you may have to talk to the friendly folks in the Buell race shop or the aftermarket to get some better performing equipment.

But, ask around. Don't just take my word. Check with the aftermarket. There are things one can do (spend $$$ on) to improve the seat-of-the-pants response and keep that ear to ear grin firmly in place. How fa$t do you want to go? : )
