ok guys i have searched and read many threads on the 03 belt having issues, being upgraded, 04 conversions etc. Is the 03 belt a one off that can't be put on other years? So I can't take belt off an 07 and put it on my 03? |

That is correct. The entire 03 belt system is different, which includes the belt, front & rear pulley, idler, and belt covers. The 04+ belt system is all the same, but the 03 is the odd duck out. If you want to move up to a new belt, you would have to find new pulleys, idler, and covers. |

That is 100% correct. The 04+ all have the same tooth pitch and pulley diameter. A chain conversion is a whole 'nother thing.... |

".....a chain conversion is a whole 'nother thing..." and usually you need it when a v-twin starts to be serious. bye Alessio |
