Over this winter i have installed a Drummer ss and a race ecm and i went to use the vdsts to reset the tps... I was fallowing the instructions by Al with the 3 bar graphs going and what not. My confusion started when i read that the tps voltage value was supposed to be .01 and mine was reading .58 at the lowest with the throttle plate sticking etc... Now the bike ran fine before does this .58 really matter or is there a way to make it go to .01...

thanks, Ryan

Are you reading the .58 volts after you have back the idle adjustment all the way off? The .58 volts looks like a final idle set voltage to maintain the idle RPM of 1050 to 1150.

After you installed the race ECM, I assume you performed the reset and the voltage remained .58 volts at zero position?

How would a TPS reset change TPS voltage readings?

Take it the way it is. If the bike does well ... no need to worry about.

Gunter

"Take it the way it is. If the bike does well ... no need to worry about."

Yeah, Gunter is right. All the reset will do is tell the ECM what the voltage is at the "zero" throttle position.

I was thinking of position not volts. I can only attribute it to the flu meds I'm on. Perhaps I should get some more rest.
