I have a 100hp xb9 based (86 ftlbs of torque) running 11.43:1 compression and it has been reliable for me, but due to my own physical limitations I do not have that many miles on it. With a 1050 kit, a micron exhaust, an open airbox, and a little tweaking of the ECM map either through direct link or ECMspy you should easily hit 100 reliable HP on pump gas (10-10.5:1 compression) |

I don't know if I agree with the "easy" part. |

I know of stock 9's that have been dyno'd at 90hp (No_Rice's at the exhaust shoot out) with a Drummer SS, Open airbox, Direct Link (Al and Terry tweaked it) and no internal mods. No, it was not on the nitrous at the time. It really is a matter of using the right combination of parts and having a GOOD tech to modify the maps to suit your engine's needs. So, I guess I should have said fairly easy. |
