Bad earth.
Check the negative and positive terminal for tightness.

And charge the battery... the loose cables may have prevented it getting a charge from the last ride...

How old is the bike? 3-5 years is about the lifespan of a motorcycle battery.

Batt. should have 12.7 to 13 plus, but that does not mean that it has proper cranking current. And running it should have at least 13.7 to 14.2 volts. I hope this helps.

bad relay is common
diagnosis starts by removing the small wire from the starter. use a jumper wire from the batt positive to the small wire spade connection at the starter motor if it starts get a new relay. if it dosen't .. get a starter. or at least check the connection's integrity.

to test starter button connect a test light at the end of the small starter motor wire to see if there is a 12V signal when the button is pressed.

Ive seen where the wire lights a test light but not the bike which is also the relay only allowing 11.5V not a full 12.

a bypass button is a common fix
