Is there factory race kit or re-flash programming available for -08 xb12ss? How about power commander? Euro models have smaller diameter exhaust system (due to EURO 3 regulation) and I would like to have my baby breathing again! Euro xb12 (-08) has 95hp as standard. |

I have one of the strangulated 08 models, and have now purchased a set of 07/06 model headers and a HP Oval can I am reliably informed that previous model headers are a straight bolt on, but the can has to be changed as well Will let you know results once fitted (together with K&N filter) |

Whoops, forgot to update...... Have had the larger headers from an 07 model fitted, together with a HP Big Oval can and a K&N Improved everything, sound is great and the engine has no flat spots, does not stutter and fuel consumption is improved Trojan have just launched the Poweriser for 08 models, but am not rushing out to buy one as my mods have made a good bike better |

With US headers (wider than Euromodel), K&N air filter and Sebring exhaust my XB12 feels anemic in midrange. 1500-4000rpm is closed loop, right? ECM is adjusting fuel amount within this range according to O2-sensor information. Without O2-signal ECM enriches fuel-air ratio. So, I unplugged O2-sensor and engine response is now better. Still popping when decelerating, but better than before this mod, peppier. I am going for Remus Powerizer to even the flat spots, but I wonder if these two boxes (ECM and Powerizer) really co-operate or fight? |
