first one to tell me I shoulda got a Ulysses is the funniest.... with that out of the way... anyone had any experience with the 2 seater option for the TT (lower seat and pegs)??? if so, have you done any 2 up on it??? How about a TALLER windscreen for long distance riding??? How about luggage??? I know there have been a couple of Ulysses/Super TT "unions" in the past.. Im not looking to do anything so extensive... or expensive... any Super TT'rs out there with any pics or info they'd like to share would be much appreciated... thanks |

I have plans of making Sport Touring bike of my Stt. I think I have found bags, Hepco Becker Juniors will do me and I think that a bracket is made for the XB12Ss/XB12Stt if not I'll have to make my own. Also look at CityXslicker Xb9SX. he has a nice setup. I am ordering a Cee-Bailey windshield after Christmas and will post a photo of it when I get it on the bike. Nice thing is it's no TOO costly and is a strait bolt on deal...replaces the fly screen. I'll add a link BUT the dark one in not to my taste but the clear with the fly part panted to match the bike look good. http://www.ceebaileys.com/buell/lightningxb9_xb12. html As far as the two up seat it SHOULD be the same as on a XB12Ss I'd think other than the long travel on the Stt. so i got the seat. wrong one. the second one does indeed fit on a tt. the fit is crap, the seat is crap. you slide all over it, crushing your jewels everytime you use the brake. the seating area is shaped like a spoon so your hips rest on the outer edges of the seat and slide back and forth liker you're on rails. its horrible. th quality is horrible. in fact they're making me a new one because this one so screwed up...... |

I just put a Corbin on my TT and absolutely love it. It was a tight fit but good. Spacecapsule is right about the spoon shape seating area, this is how the seat is designed to more uniformly distribute your weight and lessen sore spots. My seat was finished with the carbon look leather and has the perfect amount of slickness to allow you to reposition in the seat while not bunching up your pants and underwear. The seat is designed to sit in two or three different positions to lessen fatigue over a long haul. |

Well I've just order some bar risers from Precision Engineering, so that will take care of arm position. Re pillion kit, I will most likely go a different tack and get a pair of Uly rear sets instead of the pillion kit, as this will also lower the riders feet to allow a more relaxed leg position for touring and off road riding will be easier to stand up. Will need to get the Uly shifter bracket too though. Seat wise might just go the std XB one. |

Krayy, I have the Two-Up seat in perfect condition and would love to sell it. Let me know if you need it. I've quoted others $100 plus shipping so that is what I'll offer it to you at. |

The Laminar lip does an okay job of blocking some additional wind, it is adequate and helps reduce fatigue. I'd like to get the Palmer system brackets and screen though for some better wind protection for the longer rides. I have a SS seat that I cut the foam down on a bit for a little better reach and passenger seat comfort. I like the stock seat better for longer solo riding though. Passenger pegs and brackets from any of the S, SS, R, and 1125 bikes will all bolt on, if you really want them to color match you can just use some semi-gloss black appliance paint to match the subframe rails. Those are 1125 passenger pegs and brackets there with S style heel guards that are super easy to swap. I'll paint them some day. |

Somewhere I've got pics of the SS seat work, prolly my old hard drive at home. I had a local upholstery shop recover the seat for me once I was done modding the foam. I'll post them up if you have any interest. I've added heated grips using the Buell right hand switch pod and self adhesive element wraps that go under the grips, I also plan to get the hand guard extensions for better cold weather wind protection. |
