Hey I fitted a micron exhaust system to my XB12SS last year. Great sound and power but it pops like crazy on overrun/deceleration. Micron say it sounds like it is too lean at the bottom and that American Sport Bike have an FI system that would sort it. Anybody got advice or ideas? |

Yes! I would get the American Sport Bike FI system that sorts it ;) You can't go wrong with Al! And that gives me even more respect for Micron. Somebody from Micron showed up on BadWeb, got a load or grief from some of us regulars, but kept a great attitude and ended up turning out a *great* exhaust system. Al spent a LOT of time taking that base system and getting maps that get the most out of it. I don't know what he charges, but it's worth it. |

I got all that from Al. I hate to talk about how great he and his company where with all that. (he might be listening) Anyway on my Uly, I bought the full Micron Serpent System. I already had a Race Ecm laying around, So I just sent it off to Al and he put a custom Map on there for me and saved my old map on a disk for me. I already had the software and cable for the ecm. Al charged me $99 for the key (that's what everyone has to pay). Every ECM has to have its own unique key and he has to buy one to Put a map on your ECM or one you buy from him. I think he charged me less than that to put the map on my ECM. Considering the time it takes, I would have paid anyone that much for their time. He was very prompt and helpful. So All I had to do was plop in the Race ECM and do a TPC reset and I was off to wheelie heaven. |

thanks bearly. As i live in New Zealand it is a longer process to send over my Ecm. i may have to buy the key, the software and the servo emulator and do it here. I know a couple of tech savvy Buell owners so that could work. Hey did you update the filter and airbox as well? |
