Someone explain to me Buell's thinking. starting with the X1 years Buell designed a large air box with a small opening in the front. Then the XB had a large filter with a decent air box with opening on the left. Then late models get the "swiss cheese" effect. Now the 1125R has a large air box with a "ram air" opening in front for pressurizing the air box for more HP. Now most Jap bikes use the "large air box" idea no matter what size cc. So is it Buell's idea the XB won't attain the speed needed for "ram air" HP? so just use the the Harley idea of HP and open the air box? Give me your thoughts.
