Has anyone fitted the Remus Powerizer ??

How does it work ? Is it closed loop? Can you change the fuelling manually?

Can something like this damage the ECM ??

They say it can be switched on/off??

I have a XB12R with :

Race ECM
K&N, Open airbox
Re-routed breathers
Micron exhaust system
NGK iridium

I know that the race ECM is not the 'perfect' match for my mods. I feel that the bike can give me a little more power at the top end. At mid rpm(3500-5500), I am really happy. But I am looking for 2-3 Hp at the top end! It would make a big difference to me!

Will fitting the Remus powerizer, help to get as close to 'perfect' ??

The Powerizer works by altering the signal from the ECU to the injectors in order to change the fuelling. It monitors RPM and engine load to optimise fuelling throughout the rev range, so should work in both open & closed loop running. It is similar in concept and connections to the TFi unit although it needs no adjustment. You cannot change the fuelling manually with the current version, although Remus have been working on a version with USB connectivity for some time. Whether this ever gets released is unknown at this time though.

No (although I have heard of dealers trying to blame the Powerizer/TFi/Power Commander for unrelated faults). The Powerizer fits between the ECU and injectors and the ECU works exactly as it normally would.

The unit includes a switch so you can revert to the stock map at any time (although you should not switch between maps with the engine running).

For the majority of road riders who just want to change their exhaust and air filter this works extremely well and we have had no complaints at all from the 50 or so that we have sold so far. I think if you are considering major tuning work or racing then you may want to conider something that will give you more adjustability and tuning potential such as the Rapidbike ECU, ECMSpy or direct link maybe?

So, if for example my current mods and the race ECM, makes my bike to run a bit rich or lean at the top rpm range, will this Remus Powerizer make adjustments so that I get better fuelling ?? And this way find 1-2 Hp ??
