Just wanted to rate couple things on the SB12X bags and a shield I bought. Tried both on a great three day trip. Shield is a Cee Bailey. I got the 14 incher. It mounts using the six exhisting screws that hold the cowl plate to front of bike. Its solid and works perfectly. The Hepko Becker bags and trunk are great. They don't flex and twist as do some other clam shell bags. Latches are strong and work perfectly. On and off bike easy. Big fault is the locks. Even when the key is alligned perfectly with the lock slot it is impossible to push it into the lock without wiggling and fooling around with pressure at different angles. This is every time on every case on the bike. At night its terrible. I'd like to see the luggage provided with a non locking latch. Occasionally a tumbler will come out with the key. But Overall great luggage. Whew. Sheepskin seat pad makes life great too. Alaska Sheepskins. The Buell tank bag is wonderful. It mounts and dismounts very easily and comes with a rain cover. Its expandable. Quality is supurb! Maintains its shape empty also. Lots of little compartments for stuff inside and a roomy map enclosure. (Message edited by loucksgl on October 04, 2007) |
