Here goes. While riding in 110 degree weather on the freeway the engine lost ignition and bogged to a stop. (Overheated??) When i pulled over and turned the ignition key the guages would sweep and the lights would go on, fuel pump did not cycle and the starter would not turn over. I switched out some fuses with spares and got everything to work but the fuel pump (bike was turning over, but not starting.) I then made the mistake of putting a 15a fuse in the ECM fuse slot which requires a 7.5a. Twisted the key..all was good, then pressed the start button and the entire electrical system made a click sound and went dead. Disconnected the positive cable from the battery and reconnected, still the entire electrical system is dead. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. |
