I really want the new brakes, and rim from the 04 buell's. What is it going to take? I know I need the forks, calp, rotor, and rim. Do I need the tree? WILL 04 Forks fit my 97 thunderbolt frame? If not Im not scarred what mods are needed? |

The tree will work. You will have to press out both stems and then press the Thunderbolt stem into the XB lower triple tree. One thing to look out for though... The fork adjusters for the XB forks stick up higher in the top triple than the tops of the tuber fork legs. Unless you get a spacer like this, your handlebars will not fit, as they will contact the fork adjusters... http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/16107.html I don't know if the 1" rise would be enough. Hope this helps. |
