2004 XB12R with Buell factory race ECM and muffler. I realized my horn isn't working any longer. I really don't know how long it has been out as I haven't had to use it in quite some time. When I checked it out I realized the horn itself works and the switch appears to be in order with all internal wiring properly soldered and connected. I then checked the fuse and realized it was OK but for some reason was a 10 amp fuse (manual says it should be 15A). Either way I replaced it with a 15A fuse and still no good. I also realized that my brake lights don't work and per the manual the horn, brake lights and interactive exhaust valve are all connected through the one 15A fuse. Any thougts before I go tearing into all of the nicely taped wiring? Could I have screwed up something a year ago when I switch the stock exhause and ECM for the race versions? Thanks Dale |

Don't know if it's the same issue or not but.....on my Uly Awhile ago I noticed that my horn was out of order. All lights worked, fuse was good, horn worked. I found that one of the main ground wires was broken. There are two grounds on the steering head (under the headlights)they looked like they were connected but one of them was just sitting there not contacting anything. Good luck, hope I was able to help. Tim |
